Qualifications:

· R.E.F.F.I.S ( Register of experienced Fly-fishing instructors, Schools and Guides) approved fly-fishing guide.

· Theta. (Tourism, Hospitality and Sport education and training Authority.) Adventure Site Guide. Fly-Fishing. (A legal requirement for guiding in South Africa.)

· Level 1 first aid with CPR.

· FGASA ( Field Guides Assossiation Of South Africa) Snake identification and snakebite treatment course certificate.

· SAMSA ( South African Marine Safety Authority ) Certificate of Competence for a Category R Vessel. 9 meters. (Skippers licence.)

· 27 years of fresh and saltwater fly-fishing experience, both locally and internationally.

I am a professional Fly-fishing guide based in Johannesburg. I have been guiding full time for three years. My speciality is guiding for indigenous Smallmouth and largemouth yellowfish, both river and stillwater.

I also guide for Smallscale and largescale yellowfish, trout and tigerfish and have guided in saltwater locally and on the flats of the Seychelles.

In addition to my guiding I have written numerous articles on a range of fly-fishing related topics for local publications and books and am a National Field Editor to The Complete Fly- Fisherman Magazine.

I have also hosted several fly- fishing clinics and conducted frequent fly tying demonstrations. As a professional service I also offer beginner fly tying courses.

I am passionate about yellowfish and yellowfish conservation and was instumental in bringing about the first recorded fencing off of smallmouth spawning areas to fishing, on the Vaal River.

I run catered guided day trips to the Vaal River seven days a week. ( 1 hours drive from Johannesburg ) These trips run throughout the year, Summer and Winter, water conditions permitting.

One on one guiding @ R 1800.00 per day. 2 persons, R 975.00 each. 3 plus persons, R 750.00 each.

I Guide at Sterkfontein Dam In the Free State from the middle of November through to March.

My Sterkfontein trips include all meals, accommodation, guiding and use of my boat. These are 3 to 7 day trips.
